Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are corrective devices made to assist a foot that fails biomechanically, to function normally. The orthotics are made to control abnormal foot function, re-establish proper weight distribution and improve overall biomechanics.

Many clinical conditions may be present without any obvious foot problems. Subtle imbalances in the foot are amplified as they go up the leg, knee, hip and back resulting in problems that may not have been properly assessed due to lack of a full biomechanical evaluation.

Naturopathic Medicine

The use of natural therapies help promote health and treat disease. Naturopath medicine focuses on determining the cause of patients’ illness or disease, rather than focusing on the symptoms. Treatments are often less invasive, and have few side effects. Off the Shelf Braces & Therapy Supplies

We carry a wide variety of braces and therapy supplies. From ankle braces to thumb protectors, SI belts to orthopedic pillows -- we have a variety of products to assist in your rehabilitation. Ask your therapist about our heating pads, or an exercise ball for home.

Personal Training

We all need a little help with exercise sometimes, whether you are just starting out or been at it for a long time. A trainer can help you set realistic goals, create effective workouts, and maximize you time while helping you stay within your own limits so you don’t overdo it. A trainer helps motivate you to push past those self-imposed limits, encouraging you to lift heavier, go longer and challenge yourself more than you would on your own.

If you have specific issues (arthritis, heart disease, old or new injuries, etc…) working with an experienced trainer, who in turn will work with your doctor, or physiotherapist, will create a program to help you heal injuries and avoid any further problems. Some Extended Health Programs will help cover personal training if is under the guidance of a physiotherapist. So Keep Fit and Have Fun!!

Functional Movement Training

Functional Movement is movement that we perform throughout our daily lives and activities. These movements mimic the way our bodies work—in multiple planes and with multiple joint actions that require sufficient muscle strength, stabilization and coordination. It provides a foundation that fundamental, functional and specialized movement skills can be built upon and supports the development of skill and health related fitness levels.

ADP Authorizer
ADP Authorizer: Mobility Devices

An Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer will assess your functional mobility status and recommend the appropriate device to best meet your needs for ongoing daily use. Selected wheeled walkers, forearm crutches, manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, pediatric standing frames, and specialized positioning supports for wheelchairs (e.g. seat cushions and back supports) are all devices that can be prescribed. If you are eligible for ADP, the government of Ontario will provide funding to help you with the cost of such items.

ADP contributes only to the cost of the most basic equipment that is required for ongoing daily mobility as defined by ADP for funding purposes.

Funding assistance is not available to purchase equipment required for occasional use, to be used solely to travel to and from destinations, used only at school or work, for use in an exercise program, or for social, sports and recreational purposes.
