R.M.T. Registered Massage Therapist
Kimberly, a gifted soft tissue manipulation
specialist, graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy
in June 1999. She is an active member of the College of
Massage Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Massage Therapy Association
(OMTA) as well as the local Huronia Chapter of the OMTA. In addition
to swedish massage, Kimberly incorporates many advanced techniques into
individual treatment plans for her clients. Her skillful
hands deliver treatments enhanced with such techniques as fascial integration,
trigger point release, unwinding, advanced strain-counter strain, pressure
point release, manual lymph drainage, craniosacral therapy as well as
Barnes' method Myofascial Release Treatment. She continues her
training by taking advanced courses, studying with osteopaths, physiotherapists
and massage therapists. Breast Massage and Advanced Temporomandibular
Joint Mastery-Part 1 are just two examples of the many courses she has
taken over the last few years.
Women's health issues (pregnancy
to menopause and everything in between), scar work, brain injuries,
and overall health promotion are interests close to her heart.
In 2006 she attended two conferences on brain injuries.
Her healing hands demonstrate
sensitive tactility and skill with extensive clinical experience treating
clients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including
whiplash and other motor vehicle related injuries, repetitive strains,
tendonitis and other soft tissue pain/dysfunction issues.
