Michelle graduated from the physiotherapy
program at the University of Toronto in 1991, and spent the following
4 years working at the Toronto General / Toronto Western Hospital. During
this time she gained knowledge and skills in many areas including orthopaedics,
cardiac surgery and rehabilitation, thoracic surgery and the lung transplant
program. In 1995 Michelle presented at the World Congress in Physical
Therapy in Washington, DC on exercise testing of lung transplant candidates.
Since 1995 , she has specialized
in clinical orthopaedics and completed a Graduate Diploma in Advanced
Orthopaedic Manipulative Physiotherapy, an internationally recognized
certification. She is certified in acupuncture by the Acupuncture
Foundation of Canada . Michelle has been working in private
clinic settings as well as part-time in an industrial setting gaining
experience in treating the injured worker.
Michelle has experience in
all areas of orthopaedics with a special interest in spinal disorders
and the shoulder.
Michelle manages to juggle three young children,
skiing, and building a cabin in addition to her professional activities.
